Business Summary: anyON™ is a new media platform for live Internet distribution of
independent Web channels of continuous streaming from any media source. Our products & services combine
the powers of the Internet, digital media and users in defining a
disruptive social media called "User Generated TV" over
the Internet. Displacing today's costly method of live broadcast,
the elegant, affordable solution empowers any business, organization
or individual to improve communications or grow business through the
interactive, scalable media. Management Team: Dr. Phillip Chen is an innovator
developing and delivering game-changing technologies for twenty years. As a pioneer
in CDN he co-founded Orblynx that funded by Morgan Stanley, Madison
Dearborn and Spectrum Equity in 1999 and achieved over 100 carrier
customers in 40 countries. He founded BroadbandMD in US and eMedia Tech in China to develop, launch
the patented anyON™ platform since 2003; was named a Top 50
Entrepreneurs in Beijing and awarded by the Technology Growth Program in Maryland. He
worked at Hughes / NASA, A&T / Intelsat and Johns Hopkins, University of Utah and Peking University before.
Dr. Ashok Thareja is an early investor of the initiative; also the President of
A&T Systems. He has founded or funded Orblynx, SnareNet and led
the M&A of several other technology companies. He graduated from
and served as a faculty member at the University of Maryland. Tom
Trexler specializes in strategic planning for privately held
companies, is also a joint professor of finance at Georgetown
University and University of Maryland.
Service Platform: anyON™ Software is freely distributed
in two forms: Web plug-in & desktop application for PC & IMD
(Internet Mobile Device).
anyON™ Services for Internet broadcast are based on monthly plans
at a fraction of the cost of traditional client/server solutions.
The services
accept live feed or any media from publisher; provide content
hosting & guarantee live channel online 24x7. Viewers tune in a
channel with Web browser empowered by the plug-in over the Internet.
anyON™ Devices are optional for independent broadcaster to
generate streaming from DVD, tape; live feed of camera, TV tuner or
a third party URL source; and publish & share in various modes:
broadcast via P2P, VOD and push between lossy networks or from
behind firewall.
Niche Markets: Internet videos grow exponentially; user
generated content alone will surpass 65 billion views by 2010
according to In-Stat Market Research. However, the traditional
client-server model cannot sustain the rapid growth; new
distribution model is required for scalable media delivery,
especially for live social channels. anyON™ was developed to meet
such demands before YouTube was online. We first target niche applications in live
events in faith-based communities, forums, trainings, marketing or
campaigns for mid-sized businesses or organizations; then develop major channels with strategic content
partners; and mash up social channels through viral promotion on
social networks.
Financial Models: Our business model is based on a
minimal monthly fee charged for 30x24 hours live broadcast per
dedicated channel. Other incomes include OEM licensing, media
devices.
Competitions: anyON™ TV is the only live broadcast
platform for independent Web portals. Unlike YouTube that provides
limited video clip upload & sharing service from central servers
farm, anyON™ allows live broadcast on-demand from
publisher-controlled, distributed or mobile sources. In contrast
to Joost or Hulu that broadcasts selected channels from its
proprietary portal, anyON™ empowers any business or grassroots to
broadcast from its portal, schedule by itself, for its community,
with controls of content, identity, end-users and revenue. anyON™ is the
enabling platform for social media distribution with inherent
affordability, scalability and flexibility.
